UFS-044 Two Euro Coin Holder

The Two Euro Coin Holder is a modified version of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1374186. The original design was supposed to be used for holding USA quarters.

I live in the USA, so I don’t normally use Euro coins. Still it is easy to collect a couple. I kept some after a few business trips and vacations. I could just throw them in the bottom of a drawer and forget about them, but it is nice to find them quickly when I go on my next trip.

I looked around at various coin holders on Thingiverse. I wanted something small, could hold various denominations up to 2 Euro, and has a secure lid that wouldn’t fall off. The one I liked best was designed for quarters. It has a screw on lid and windows on the side so you can see the coins. (It also reminded me of old film canisters I used to have for 35mm film. Those film canisters were great for holding small stuff.) The original design just needed to be shorter (I only have a few coins), and larger diameter (at least 26mm ID).

For a larger diameter, all I needed to do was scale the part in both x and y. The z axis required editing the file and cut out about a third of the part height. I liked the final result. It was too bad I didn’t have more coins so I could print a bunch more.
