YABA is an abbreviation for "Yet Another Blower Adapter"
This is an update or a revised creation based on some of my previous adapters. It's a swap in mod for the stock 40mm cooling fans on printers like the wanhao duplicator i3s. This takes a 50X50X15 blower fan. These fans are common place when it comes to being used for part coolers on these printers. Browse the pictures to see how it installs, the hardware, and how it looks on the actual printer when homed.
Hardware
This mod does require some hardware, this includes a fan along with a screw and nut to firmly attach the fan onto the part. I made this mod use the stock screws that firmly attach the stock fan to the heat-sink. You can find a wide variety of 5015 fans on various online shopping sites, however you should always check to see if you are running 12 or 24 volts.
1 5015 blower fan
1 M4 by 20mm long screw
1 M4 nut
The diverters mearly force the air out the back of the heatsink. If having the air exit the front bothers you, than feel free to use them. Otherwise it's not really needed.
Printer brand : Wanhao
Printer : Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2
Rafts : Doesn't Matter
Supports : Yes
Resolution : .2
Infill : 20%
Notes : Treat infill and resolution as you would for most functional based works. You do need support for this model. I provided a picture of the support I used and the position in which I printed this part as well. That should give you a good idea on how to layout the part for supports.
