Tennor Saxophone Neck Insert- Type 1 Insert

Type 1 Insert is a saxophone neck insert that will help focuse and make playing more easier (at least it did for me).
This is a simple design using the main body as a PLA part and 4 NinjaFlex grips to make it fit in the saxophone neck with out damaging the instruemnt. The grips are glued on to the main body, not alot of glue is needed.
To use the insert take the saxophone neck and place the insert inside the neck on the end where it attaches to the saxophone body. The insert should easily glide in the neck and hold in place. Attach the neck and mouthpiece like yoiu normally do and play. Note: some tennor necks might be a bit larger or smaller bore depending on the design but this will fit most.
The Type 1 Insert changes the sound of the saxophone is changed just a littl the bit making a bit more mellow and I noticed that notes (expecially the lower notes) were easier to play. A sound test will be added soon to show the difference in the sound. The saxophone setups that I used to test the insert was a Yamaha Tennor YTS-280 and a P. Mauriat Custom Class System 76 2nd Edition, both with a metal Theo Wanne Metal Shiva Mouth Piece, and a Rico Java #3 reed. For the sound test, I did not tune the saxophone when adding the neck insert to limit the variables in testing, so the mouthpiece and reed were not moved during the testing. Also, these saxophone setups were entierly new to me, right off the store shelf at SAX.CO.UK.
A special thanks to SAX.CO.UK for letting me test the Type1 Insert with their equiptment.
This is the first neck insert that I have made and I am current making alterations to this design to see what sound changes I can produce. So stay posteds and please give me feed back on the comments page.
Print the main body out of PLA using a 10% infill and print out 4 grips (and one extra) out of NINJAFLEX 10% infill. Once Printed glue the grips on the main body (there are ridges cut out of the body for them on the side).
