Winking Frog Suncatcher Window Hanging Garden Decoration

Decorate your window or garden with this adorable winking frog sun catcher. Part of our Stained Glass Series, this cute lady frog is rendered with double-sided outlines and ultra-thin colors inside. This combination creates a translucent design that mimics real stained glass and looks fantastic in the sunlight.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
There are a total of 6 pieces in the ZIP file. (Note the "WHOLE" file is just for display on Cults3D, and is not meant for printing). See the images above for instructions with pictures.

• Frog - Top (Black)
• Frog - Bottom (Black)
• Frog - Body (Green)
• Frog - Eye (White)
• Frog - Belly (Yellow)
• Frog - Tongue (Red)

Each color piece has been carefully rendered to fit perfectly into the recessed areas of the "Bottom" section. They are ultra-thin and should only print 2-layers thick (at 0.16 Layer Height). This is important to ensure a translucent print, and that light is able to illuminate softly through the other side. I also encourage printing in "Silk" filaments. They are less translucent, but the shine is fantastic.

Inserting the colors is like doing a child's puzzle. Look at the bottom piece, and you'll see there are recessed areas for each color to fit in. It should be very easy to tell what goes where. Place the Body, Eye, Belly, and Tongue in their positions, using tiny dots of glue to secure them in place.

Next, add glue to the underside of the Top section. Only use tiny dots, but a lot of them for a good hold. Then line up the Top section over the Bottom and gently press them together. Use clips or clothes pins to hold the pieces together and allow ample time to dry. I like to use fishing line and/or a small keyring to hang them.

MIDDLE PIECES (Body, Eyes, Belly, Tongue)
These pieces must print very thin to remain slightly translucent. They are only 0.32mm thick. Use the following settings to ensure they print in just two layers.

Layer Quality: 0.16
Initial Layer: 0.16
Infill: Doesn't matter, it will print at 100% anyway.
Speed: 40mm/s
Supports: No
Plate Adhesion: None

Tip: If you're having trouble printing these smoothly, try using Cura's 'Enable Ironing' setting. It takes a little longer to print, but the nozzle will go back over the top layer to smooth it out, just like you would iron clothing to remove wrinkles.
