3D model description

This water dispenser lever is for some models of Frigidaire side by side door refridgerators. This lever is designed to be glued onto what usually remains after the original part breaks.

3D printing settings

This design might fit some models of side by side door Frigidaire refridgerators with broken water levers. It may or may not be the right fit for your fridge - so make some measurements of this print and your fridge's water lever before you attempt this repair.

This replacement part is designed to glue onto the old remaining lever that remains after it fails. You may have to take apart the water and ice dispenser area of your refridgerator to gain access to the lever assembly. See this YouTube video that shows how to do this repair using a standard brand new replacement part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBBva8A-VLE. This video will help you repair your fridge whether you are using brand new factory part or glueing on your 3D printed repair part.

Be sure to disconnect your fridge from electrical power before working in this part of your fridge. Removing the dispenser assembly screws may run into a few snags if their is corrosion in this area. You may have to cut the heads off a screw or two and back the screws out with vice grips if the heads are too coroded to accept a screw driver. The old broken/failed lever may need to be sanded or trimmed a bit in order to allow the new lever to slip over it. Once you have placed the new lever over the broken lever, glue the new lever onto the broken part using five minute epoxy. Fill in gaps with a two part plumber's putty or steel epoxy. Using an epoxy putty is also a way to reinforce the water lever and new part. Plugging the circuit boards (related to the light and ice panel) back in may be a bit tricky, but is doable. Also note, if you remove the water hose from the panel, you may have to splice in some new hose to make the hose long enough to snake it through the dispenser panel when re-assembling.
