3D model description
Small (and bigger) cactuses
Works like an open boxes, closed surprise boxes, decoration etc.
Cactus is in the pot with filler - all for assembling without a glue (check the list of possible sets below)
The same idea (but much simplified) I used in Little Pumpkins Set for Halloween

There are files for 5cm high cactus (normal, mostly for a small surprise box or toothipics holder) and 7cm high (big, can work like a little bigger box)
You can resize the models up but parts may not hold to each other with friction then (but you can compensate XY in slicer ['horizontal expansion' in Cura]). And a CAP may need some supports on it's rim then
3 versions of a cactus (GREEN):
- normal
- with face with eyes
- face with sunlight glasses
Each cactus has two models, for printing in vase mode (or normal mode without infill and top layers) and 'full' to use a cactus as a decoration (without a hole for toothpics)
You can paint glasses or eyes centers black
3 versions of a FILLER:
- sand (small slope, no bumps)
- dirt (small displacement)
- stones (high displacement)
3 versions of a POT:
- simple ('clean' pot without decoration)
- levels (3 'levels' similar to some flower pots)
- spiral
3 versions of a CAP:
- normal
- cactus (with small cactus on top - works as a holder for easier cap removing)
- flower (printed in second color, works like a holder too)
I'm not planning anything now but I may make some more models in the future
Different cactuses, different faces, more pots etc.
It all depends on the popularity of this models :)
Edit 05 X 2022 (ver 1.1)
Updated files (open cactus is little lower, this way the hole on top is bigger)
Added a CAP that will fit GREEN printed in vase mode with 0.4mm nozzle
Added a BIG model (150% size) with proper size compensation
New cactus will fit the old pot and filler, cap will not fit the old cactus
3D printing settings
NO supports needed
Needs 0.4mm nozzle (if you want to use a CAP)
Cactus (GREEN) for a box should be printed in vase mode (spiralize outer contour) or in normal mode with 1 wall and no top layers and infill - only then you can use a CAP
Full cactus can be printed without any infill (unless you want it to be stronger)
For the rest (POT, FILLER and CAP) you will need some infill
I printed it with 15% gyroic
For a CAP or FILLER you don't need any bottom layers if you want to save some filament
The same with POT but with top layers (or even top and bottom)
Parts were made with 0.1mm size comepensation. It should fit each other without the need of sanding or glueing
If the holes are too big you can use 'XY compensation' / 'Horizontal expanstion' of maybe 0.05mm - models will look the same so don't worry :)
